Keith Arnold, Music Director

Keith Arnold believes in the power of choral music to lift up and transform those who experience it. Dr. Arnold (D.M.A. Literature and Performance of Choral Music, University of Colorado Boulder) is in his eleventh year conducting the One World Singers. In 2012, Arnold founded the Voices of Light Chamber Choir, which serves as the Chamber Choir in residence at the Festival of Faith and the Arts at Bethany Lutheran Church. He currently serves as the Minister of Music at Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden, CO. He is a past national President of the Unitarian Universalist Musicians Network, and has conducted choirs on tour in Bulgaria, Britain, Ireland, Canada, and China. In June 2013, Arnold led the One World Singers on a tour of North Dakota and Manitoba.

Assistant Director Anada Gusè received her B.M.A. from the American Conservatory of Music, Chicago, Illinois.  She is a retired certified-rostered Associate in Ministry with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, having served Messiah Lutheran (Community) Church over 30 years in music and administration.  She joined the South Metro Women’s Chorus in 1994, later as its accompanist.  When the South Metro and Denver Turnverein Choruses merged in 1998, she became one of the assistant directors of what is now the One World Singers.

Assistant Director and Accompanist Dr. Oliver B. Ellsworth was born in Oakland, California in 1940.  He studied piano from the age of 5, violin from the age of 7 and voice from the age of 16.  He received all of his degrees from the University of California, Berkeley:  B.A. in Music (1961), M.A. in Music Literature (1963) and Ph.D. in Musicology (1969).  In 1964-1965 he served as a first lieutenant in Germany, where he commanded a tank platoon.  In 1969 he came to Boulder, Colorado, and taught music history until his retirement in 2002.  He joined the Arion Gesangverein (forerunner of the Denver Turnverein Chorus and One World Singers) in 1973 and, a few years later, became the assistant director and accompanist for the chorus.
